Turns out that idea with cabin movement period from last post doesn’t work in practice. At least not without a lot of attempts. It seems the wheel does not move with a constant speed. Rather I’m guessing they sometimes slow it down for (un)boarding if need be, which alters the period.
In any case, 70 seconds seems to be a good period if no slowing occurs.
The three images here are a small study in motion. Images #2 and #3 are compositions of 2 photos, one blurred one and one sharp. Image #3 demonstrates that it looks much better if the blurred one does not complete a full circle, but rather shows a bit of a tail after the sharp cabin and disappears before the next cabin. But then alignment of the sharp cabin and the beginning of the tail becomes quite essential.
