Trip to Mount Popa
While in Bagan, one might just as well make a trip to Mount Popa. This surreal volcano reaches 1518m above see level and hosts a buddhist monastery on top. The monastery itself is not particularly beautiful, but seeing it on top of that volcano is definitely worth the trip.

Test: Nikon 20mm f/1.8 & DOF
AF-S NIKKOR 20mm f/1.8G ED Playing around with 20mm f/1.8 and testing what kind of DOF one can get out of it. This is particularly visible on #1 where the DOF is maybe 10mm. Of course the focus distance is the lowest possible there – around 20cm. But still, pretty amazing for a wide-angle lens.

Southern Islands
Saint John’s and Kusu islands are small islands south of Singapore. There is not much there, but Kusu island has a nice Chinese temple (Da Bo Gong) and Saint John’s island offers nice forest and level of authenticity not available elsewhere in Singapore.
